Travel | Top Paddock, Melbourne
If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen this photo and this one of an amazing brunch we had at Top Paddock a few weeks ago. Their blueberry hotcakes are incredible!! And of course the edible flowers are the icing on the cake.
This time we went with a couple of friends for lunch and decided on a savoury option. I went for the Queensland soft shell mud crab with a dill dressing in a brioche bun. I've never had soft shell crab before and wasn't expecting it to be an actual crab! It looked a little intimidating but was so soft and succulent to eat. I loved it!
Stew went for the steak sandwich which you can't actually see in the photo above for all the greenery! Tenpura leeks, horseradish cream and wasabi leaves coated the rare slice of steak and from the fact Stew didn't leave a crumb on the plate, I can say it also tasted amazing.
I know I always say it about everywhere we eat here in Melbourne but if you're ever planning a visit Top Paddock really is a must! You will have to queue, any time of the day, any day of the week but it's worth it.
