AD | Skincare For You & Your Little One
I have always tried my best to look after my skin. Whether that’s by using SPF, creating a daily skincare routine, or drinking more water. However, since birth I have suffered from eczema. It’s gotten better and easier to manage over the years, but it will always be there. It’s often at its worst on my hands. Something that’s been made all the more difficult since Covid19. My hands lately have been extremely dry and sore. So when I was contact by Green People about their new Everyday Hand Care Collection, I was thrilled at the opportunity to receive and review these two products - Scent Free Everyday Hand Wash and Hand Cream.
This duo is perfect for the on-going pandemic, and beyond. A fragrance free, organic aloe vera hand wash is super gentle for those with sensitive skin. It’s also vegan (as are most of their products) and pH balanced to cleanse the skin without causing irritation.
Aloe vera helps leave hands feeling soft and hydrated, whilst the hand cream is also rich in Omega-3 & 6, that are essential for healthy skin. This helps to ensure hands are protected against dryness.
They also happen to have beautifully designed packaging that works perfectly in both our kitchen and bathroom. Plus Green People are donating £1 from every sale to NHS Charities Together.
Not only were Green People eager to help me with my problem prone skin, but they were also able to introduce us to a couple of products for our baby boy.
Whilst skincare has always been a hot topic for myself, I have to admit, I was quite clueless about skincare for babies and children. At the moment our baby boy isn’t showing any signs of eczema, so I’m hoping he won’t suffer as I have. However, from time to time he does get the odd patch of dry skin, and I try to use gentle products in the bath for him.
Green People have a wonderful set called Silent Night which includes an Organic Babies Baby Wash & Shampoo with the soothing scent of lavender. Plus an Organic Babies Soothing Baby Salve, which helps soften and soothe baby’s skin.
The baby wash & shampoo gently cleanses for ultra-sensitive skin, and is certified organic by Organic Food Federation, with 83% organic ingredients. It can also be used as a naturally calming bubble bath.
Meanwhile the baby salve is one of their best selling products. It helps to naturally rescue dry skin, and can be used on baby’s face, hands, body and bottom. It too is certified organic, this time by Soil Association, with 93% organic ingredients.
Both products can be used as part of a bedtime routine to help encourage a more peaceful sleep with its organic lavender essential oil.
On top of these being two fantastic products for little ones, Green People also donate 50p from the sale of each of these gift sets to The Lullaby Trust - the leading UK charity for prevention of sudden infant death.
With the recent warmer weather, Green People also very kindly included a sun cream for both of us. SPF has always been a priority of mine, however, it wasn’t until we started to see sunnier weather, that I began to worry about what to use for our little one. Green People’s Organic Children Scent Free Sun Cream is SPF 30 and offers 97% UVB protection. Its formula is also suitable for sensitive skin, and is a soothing, non-greasy consistency. It’s also water repellent and contains 84% organic ingredients.
Their adult Scent Free Sun Lotion is also made with fully recyclable, renewable sugar cane packaging (farmed on sustainable land). Plus they donate 30p from each sale to the Marine Conservation Society.
With almost 500 reviews online for their children sun cream, and over 800 reviews for their adult sun lotion, it’s clear that this is a winning product from a brand creating clean products for the whole family.
