ibis VIP SweetBed Brighton
Last weekend, my best friend Millie and I took a trip down south, to spend the weekend in Brighton. Millie used to live in Brighton when we were in our early twenties, so the trip brought back a lot of memories. It was great to explore the seaside town with her again, re-visiting some of her favourite haunts, but the real reason we were in Brighton was in association with ibis.ibis have teamed up with Big Beach Screen Events this summer, to watch films, live sports and music on a beach, from the comfort of an ibis bed!Their VIP SweetBed™ experiences include a cosy double bed, a glass of fizz and a box of popcorn. The perfect way to sit back and enjoy your favourite films. As the sun began to set over Brighton beach, Millie and I sat back with our popcorn and drinks, ready to watch our favourite film - Dirty Dancing. As the sky darkened, our excitement built. Dirty Dancing is a classic, and I couldn't imagine a more perfect place to watch it, than on Brighton beach. It was the cherry on top to a fantastic weekend! The bed itself was just as comfy as any you'd find in an ibis hotel. We were worried it might be so comfortable that we might fall asleep, but the excitement of the whole evening (and the sight of Patrick Swayze), kept us wide eyed. The crowd was fab too. Not surprisingly, attendance was predominantly female, with each of us singing along to all the big hits and the woops and cheers getting progressively louder as the film went on! There were a couple of hen dos at the screening, which I imagine made a great start to a hen do.In total there were 4 other beds like ours, and everyone enjoyed their evening just as much as we did. We all left on a complete high, and all agreed we'd definitely do it again. It was a really fantastic night out and the ultimate way to watch a film at an open air cinema! We finished our evening with a night cap at a really fun bar called The Blue Man, before heading back to ibis Brighton for a good nights sleep in another of their super comfy beds - they really have the best beds! What would be your ultimate film to watch at an open air cinema this summer? Would you be interested in watching it from the comfort of a bed?
