Bristol Fashion Week 2012
Warning: super heavy photo post! :)
So these are a selection of photo's from my day out to Bristol Fashion Week last Friday. Where I went with the lovely Steph (pictured) and Lily (hiding behind her lense). I also got to briefly meet the wonderful Amy, who was sat 2 seats away from me but I didn't notice until the end!
It was really lovely to meet lots more bloggers and to see others, put names to faces and vice versa. All in all I think everyone had a really good day!
Luckily the sun came out to play, so it was a gorgeous afternoon and evening. We were greeted with lots of lovely cakes and champers on arrival and then took our seats in the show where we received vouchers for all of the shops situated in The Mall Cribbs Causeway. The show was split into different scenes representing Spring/Summer 2012 and the likes of River Island, M&S, John Lewis, Miss Selfridge and many more got to show us their season trends.
The models (if a little over the top) got right into the spirit, dancing and singing all over the stage. It featured looks for children, teens, women and men. And I loved the fact it showed fashions for more curvy women, showing how block colouring, mixing prints, pastels etc can work not only for skinny minnies. The lovely lady modeling who was a size 16 looked absolutely radiant and did a great acting piece half way through, think she actually got more cheers than the half naked lads flexing their muscles at every chance! haha.
The show was hosted by the very funny Mark Heyes and Andrew Barton who had us laughing throughout.
Afterwards we were given a lovely goodie bag full of all the essentials for surviving fashion weeks: tissues, lipcote, water, moisturiser, foundation and toothpaste!
If you'd like to find out more about the show and read other bloggers reviews you can find everything on The Mall Cribbs Causeway's facebook page.
I'd like to say huge thank you to Gina for inviting me down too :)
